First catching up attempt!

Jansen's first sleepover! How cute and sweet are these pictures? He wanted his friend Brody to spend the night and they both did great! They slept upstairs by themselves in the playroom all night and had a great time! This was in March 2011

Having fun before bedtime!

Just for my keepsake, when I finally do print a book with all my posts one day, I want to have as much included as I can so I'm attempting to go back through pictures from our last year and highlight all the fun moments together as a family! Spring break, March 2011 we went to our good frind Emily's hometown to her parents house and enjoyed a few days together and then went to my in laws cabin in their hometown and enjoyed a few days. The above pic is Jansen and Brooks on the paddleboat at Paw Paw's pond.

Oklahoma City

About a month ago we traveled to Oklahoma City to see our very good friends Luke and Stephanie and their children. Dan, Rita and their boys went too. We had the best weekend together touring the city and just visiting with them. I love this pic of the 3 of us girls!!

Small waterfall during the river boat ride which was beautiful

Jack, Jansen and Conner

My 2 boys!!! Love them!

We took a boat ride through part of Brick Town in Oklahoma City. It reminded us a lot of San Antonio at the Riverwalk. This was bronze statues along the river that was sooo neat.

The 3 of us posing for a picture. I love my family!

The lawn adjacent to the federal building bombing in Oklahoma City. Each of the markers on the lawn represents an individual that lost their life that horrific day.

Part of the original building that is left standing at the bombing site.

While we were in Oklahoma City we went to the Oklahoma City Memorial where the bombing of the federal building happened. It was a very moving experience and something I would definitely recommend going to if you are ever in the area. The above picture is the water area that represents where the building actually was at.

These are the 2 ends of where the building was at that shows 9:01 and 9:03 on each end. 9:02 is the exact time the bomb went off that forever changed lives. Very touching memorial representing the actual time.

Walking into the Memorial and outside fence with flowers and items people have placed in remembrance of those lost that day.

The above picture is sweet kyle sucking on those fingers! This is how we see him often-- it is sooo cute!
One evening after a busy day together Jack fell asleep in their recliner with Conner and Kiley watching Toy Story 3. Sweet moment!

Baby Max! He looks just like his daddy! Max was born in January and this was our first time to see him. He is adorable and he is the best baby! I don't think he ever cried the whole weekend we were there!

Conner, Jansen, and Kiley watching Toy Story 3

And here they are watching another movie, not sure what! I promise we did more than let them sit in front of the TV while we were there! We had such a great visit but miss our friends terribly when we are not together! Hopefully a couple of visits are planned together this summer with all of us!

Branson

Stephanie, myself, and Rita
Last weekend I went to Branson with Dan, Rita, Conner, and Kyle to meet Luke, Stephanie, and Kiley for the weekend. The live in Oklahoma now and we miss them terribly. We were so excited to see them and spend some time together! We met up Friday afternoon for dinner at Olive Garden, after the fact that I had already lost my wallet with ALL my money, credit and debit cards!!!!! I realized when we arrived at the hotel that it was missing. I just knew I left it in Harrison after we ate lunch. We called back to the restaurant and sure thing, they had it. Said someone found it in the parking lot but none of my money was there! Ugh! I had $160.00!!!! I called and cancelled my credit and debit card anyway just in case they wrote my numbers down. Dan was so kind to drive me back to Harrison to get my wallet. Once we got back to Branson we enjoyed our dinner and fellowship time with our friens. Saturday was a day full of shopping!!!! Rita did have to buy a few things for me due to my low funds! Sunday we enjoyed worship together and lunch before we headed back home. We sure do miss our friends but we are hoping to see them again in December when they plan to come see us again!

Daniel and Luke
We didn't even get a pic of sweet Kiley during the weekend but will have to do so next time we are together. Jack and Jansen went hunting in Nashville this weekend so they didn't get to make the trip with us. It was the opening weekend of deer season so that was a must for them! Maybe we can all be together soon for some fun!

Baby Shower for Stephanie and Baby Max

I am so behind on blogging! Better late than never I guess! Last month I hosted a surprise baby shower for one of my really good friends, Stephanie. Stephanie and Luke moved to our town about a year and a half ago and we met at church. We instantly fell in love with them and their baby girl Kiley. Luke recently got a promotion with his company so they moved back to their hometown in Oklahoma. Before they moved several of us girls wanted to do a surprise baby shower for her. We told her we were having a girls night at my house. When she arrived she was totally surprised! We had a great time of fellowship and sharing together as well as giving Steph lots of goodies for baby Max! The above pic is the name sign Rita made for the shower.

Some of the girls at the shower... Debbie H, Elizabeth, Lisa, Hannah, Carrie

Cindy's 40th Birthday!

Cindy is one of my dear friends and this weekend she turned 40! I texted her husband Sat night and we planned a surprise party for her after worship service Sunday night at our house. Our plan was to go eat and then I was telling everyone to come over to our house for dessert. This is not uncommon for our group of friends so we figured she wouldn't think anything about it. We always go out to eat after evening worship service and often gather at someone's house for dessert. My brother in law, Daniel, found this cane and greeted her with it at the end of the driveway! Cindy and Patti walking up the driveway to our house for the surprise party. By this time she knew what was going on.

I don't think she's too happy about this???!!!

Cindy and her husband Michael. Glad we could all celebrate with you Cindy! We love you so very much and wish you many, many more happy days!!!!
