The last of the Snow Pics....

Jansen and Daddy made 2 wonderful snowmen in our yard... Plans were to just make one but Jansen had the wonderful idea to make a little snowman for him and Jillian! Always still thinking of his sister!

The boys with their snowmen they made! Lovely!!!!

This may be one of my favorite pictures.... Jansen's snow angel he made all by himself!

In the process of making the snow angel

And this pretty much sums up the whole day.... exhausting for one certain 5 year old little boy who I love more than he will ever know! I couldn't get this put in the right place so it will have to go here instead of at the end... just pretend this is the last pic after reading the entire post! Notice he is still holding the hand warmers while he is sound asleep!

After we all had enough sledding down the big hill, we decided to go to Michael and Cindy's neighborhood to ride on a sled while being pulled behind Michael's 4 wheeler. Jansen really had fun with this! The above picture is Megan, Jack, Jansen, Rachel, and Michael.

Jansen getting ready for a ride

He's loving it riding on his tummy!

Still going!

Trying it while sitting this time!
We had a wonderful time playing in the snow this year! Thanks to our great friends Michael, Cindy, and their girls for sharing in the fun day with us! Maybe we will get more snow before this winter is over!!

so this picture loaded 2 times, oh well!

A lot of the pictures will be out of order but here is our snow adventure a few weeks ago. We got about 4 inches of snow on Sunday night so Jansen was out of school for 2 days! The above picture of the 3 of us at the local country club. It is absolutely beautiful when it snows. The beauty doesn't last long as it is known through town as the place to go sledding down the big hill! Jack and Jansen have gone the past few years with some of our other friends and they have a blast. Guess who was talked into going this year.... Me! It really was fun, although I would much rather be home in my warm house watching the snow from the inside!

God's beautiful creation

On the way to our sledding adventure, we stopped by the cemetary to get a few pictures of Jillian's flowers in the snow. This pic was after we brushed some of the snow off.

Already uncovered with the snow brushed off by Daddy

This is the before shot with all the snow still covering her marker. We really got quite a bit of snow!

Jansen was sooo excited, as was Daddy if you can tell by the pictures! When we got home from evening worship service on Sunday night the ground was covered enough to play in, so the boys just couldn't wait any longer!
Already throwing snowballs at each other about 9:00pm at night!

Jansen and Daddy posing just long enough for a picture for Mommy!

10 months

Today marks 10 months since Jillian was born. Wow, where do the days, weeks, and months go? We are quickly approaching 1 year and that is so hard for me to believe. March 5, 2011 will be here so very soon.

Love my sweet girl's feet.

Flowers for the winter season on her grave. I put a bouquet of the silver ones out before Christmas and part of them blew away, so one weekend when Jack's mom was visiting she brought a bouquet of the pink roses with her she wanted to put there so we figured out a way to put them in the middle of the silver flowers. I plan to get some other flowers for her birthday and put on the grave.
Tomorrow also is a significant date for us. One year ago on January 6, 2010 we get the phone call from Dr. C who did the amnio, with the results confirming Jillian had Trisomy 13. There are so many dates that are significant to the journey we have been on, but I honestly don't think I will ever forget any of them. Jillian you have been thought of sooo very much during this first holiday season without you with us. You are thought of every single day and loved more than you will ever know.

New Year's Eve

This is really sparkling grape juice they are holding! Rita and her father-in-law Randy were being silly with the bottles and I couldn't resist taking a picture! We went to Randy and Debbie's house for dinner on New Year's Eve and watched some football on TV for a while before the boys all started being grumpy and fighting (which is often with J and Conner!) Jack and I were home by 10:00pm and I was sound asleep by 11:30pm! Is this a sign of me getting old????!!!!! Oh well, I love my sleep!

Rita and Daniel with thier sparkling grape juice!

Me and sis. I didn't get a picture of myself and Jack on New Year's Eve. :(
We are looking forward to a new year in hopes many happy times are ahead for our family. 2010 was a year I never dreamed I would experience but I can say I am a stronger person and have a totally different perspective on many, many things in life. It is very troubling in a way to leave 2010 behind as this was the year Jillian was born and it just makes it very aware to me we are getting farther away from that day she entered our life, but in another way we are getting closer to meeting her again one day in heaven.

8 years

On December 28th Jack and I celebrated our 8th wedding anniversary! We were given a gift certificate to the Capital Hotel in Little Rock several months ago right after Jillian was born and we were saving it for a special time. No better time than our anniversary! Jack's mom and dad came up and stayed with Jansen at our house for the night and we went to eat dinner at Copeland's in Little Rock and then enjoyed an evening together at the hotel. It was beautiful as it was still decorated for Christmas. Our room was huge!! The above picture is the sitting area.

The bed which was sooooo comfy!!

We asked one of the ladies at the desk to take our picture in front of the beautiful tree and she really didn't know how to take a picture! Poor lady! She nearly cut our heads off!!!!

The gorgeous tree in the lobby of the hotel.
I love you Jack and hope we have many, many more years together!!

Christmas at Grandparents

After we had Christmas morning together at our house we packed and headed to our parents houses for the weekend to do Christmas with all of them. Saturday night we had Christmas with my family and spent the night there and then Sunday afternoon we had Christmas with Jack's family. PawPaw Martin got all the grandkids a recliner and the above picture pretty much sums up what Jansen did for the rest of the time we were at their house!!!! He loves his recliner! He would eat his breakfast sitting in it watching cartoons with Peewee in his lap!

Jansen and Conner at mom and dad's house listening to Jansen's new CD player from Aunt Rita and family.

Christmas Morning

Christmas morning Jansen got cap guns from Santa!!!!!

Jansen's gift to me..... a razorback throw! Cute idea sweet boy!

Jansen also got some handcuffs! He was so excited about these! He is set with the cap guns and handcuffs now!

Daddy looking at one of Jansen's gifts with him

Jansen and Jack got me a new bible for Christmas and I love it!

Jansen was happy about his new umbrella from mommy and daddy!

Santa brought Jansen a new bicycle! He let Elfie sit on the seat and surprise Jansen Christmas morning. He left Jansen a note and told him that our family could keep Elfie this year and just put him with our Christmas things in the attic and next year let him out and he will fly back and forth to the North Pole nightly again.

Another pic of J checking out his new bike. Oh and in the background you can see the 2 porch swings Santa brought for mommy and daddy!!!!

Looking at the gifts Santa left for him.

All of the gifts Santa brought. Jansen must have been a very good boy this year! He got a new bicycle, cap guns, a truck with a horse trailer, a helicopter, football and tee, and a hot wheels truck. Mommy and Daddy got him a few things also!!!! We had a wonderful Christmas morning together just the three of us although Jillian was never far from our thoughts and she is always in our heart.
